Lessons and swing dancing have been discontinued.
However, on the first Wednesday of each month, there will be a swing night hosted by Christine from 7 PM until 10 PM. These will be a trial runs for the possibility of more nights of swing dancing at the Swing Bar. Please come out and support this swing night on July 19th.
When Swing dancing was a regular night at the Swing Bar, because Chilkoots is a very high profile location, many new faces were introduced to swing dancing as well as the rest of the dance community in Anchorage.

About The Swing Bar
The Swing Bar at Chilkoot Charlie's is a martini bar. It is a more or less relaxed atmosphere where you can socialize and listen to music. The music is a mix of music from the 70s to today in various genres played by DJ Steve and occassionally DJ Charlotte.

There is a selection of martinis, scotch, or what-ever your heart desires -- they've got it! These are some of the best bartenders in town! Take the time to say hello to the bartenders, and ask them to make any concoction you can dream of. Don't forget to leave a tip.
Chilkoot Charlie's is Located at 2435 Spenard Road in Anchorage Alaska (near the intersection
of Spenard and Fireweed). After 10PM, avoid the rest of Chilkoot's and enter through the Swing Bar's
